Taken while I was on a tachograph break parked up in a layby down the road. There's been a windmill on this site since at least 1592: the current mill was worked until 1951, then came into the ownership of Cambridgeshire County Council from the 1960s until 2010. Because of budgetary restrictions, the mill was closed to the public at this time (which is still the case) although in 2012 ownership was transferred to the Great Chishill Windmill Trust - http://www.greatchishillwindmill.com/ - who plan to restore it and open it to the public.
