A public right of way, footpath N27, is tarmacked for most of its length, but its eastern end comes across the grass in front of us to join another path, seen here in the foreground, which does not itself appear to be designated as a public right of way (rather oddly, since it is one of the more major pedestrian routes through the housing estate here and many more minor paths are designated as such).
