Adelaide Street is a few metres out of shot on the right. A Popular History of Cornish Place Names states that the name Market Jew is derived from the Cornish language phrase Marghas Yow, (Thursday Market), the name of a nearby village now absorbed into Marazion, to which Market Jew Street leads.
