Looking along the little stub of road that connects the ferry slipway with the encircling peninsula road. Being 4pm or thereabouts, there is not much traffic waiting to cross (and besides, a ferry has just left) but there is plenty of queue across the water to come the other way. As can be seen from the road markings, the two lanes nearest us are for queuing traffic, while the left-hand lane leads only to the little waterfront car park.
