Part of the redeveloped former Belfast gasworks (described in Image) viewed, across the Lagan, from Ravenhill Reach. The degree of transformation can be seen when compared with this view Image in March 1988. One of the memorable features of the scheme was the removal of the contaminated soil before work started. The smell was almost overpowering when passing in a train.
