The church is set back 100 metres from the south side of the B4599 Heol Eglwys. St Cynog's Church is in the Church in Wales Diocese of Swansea and Brecon. The church was built in the Victorian Gothic style between 1858 and 1861. Born c434AD, Cynog son of Brychan, usually known as Saint Cynog, was a fifth century British martyr and saint.
