Although most of the area around Pirbright is heathland there are a few slightly more fertile fields, used for pasture, close to the streams that drain the area. In the past they have supported small farms, most of which today are highly des res, and it is mostly horses that graze the fields rather than cattle. Taken from the bridleway to West Hall Farm.
