The tower is the former Kelvinside Parish Church, now the Òran Mór. The name is Gaelic for ‘great melody of life’ or ‘big song’, and is a thriving arts & entertainment venue in the heart of Glasgow’s West End. The sloping glass roof of the Kibble Palace in the Botanic Gardens is on the right. The gate on the left is the entrance to 30 Queen Margaret Drive, the former BBC studios.
