Situated on the A4095 Witney Road, this TE is of a common standard design dating from the late 1960s and has the code SMFRD. It provides telephone and broadband services to 2,394 residential and 154 non-residential premises in Freeland, plus Church Hanborough, Long Hanborough and North Leigh nearby. White BT warning notices can be seen on this building together with a green notice which says: "GENERAL WASTE (Not Hazardous). For BT Use only". Below these notices is a yellow grit salt bin, useful when the area in front of it is icy. Also, to the extreme right of the photo can be seen cable drums for use by BT Openreach staff. This TE has the numbering range (01993) 88xxxx, the (01993) referring to the Witney group of TEs, and its postcode is OX29 8HQ.
