The piers and walls are Grade II listed https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1024742 . The text of the listing includes "1825-29 by John Green: Sandstone ashlar. 4 tall gate piers, the central pair higher, forming carriage and pedestrian entrances. Each has plinth, banded cornice and top pedestal".
