This former bottling plant, better known as the old popworks, has recently (2007) been restored and refurbished as a youth centre. Part of the new market hall, which has also been rebuilt, can be seen to the left. The new concrete wall is regrettable as it detracts from the attractive stonework of the old structure. What a pity a bit extra could not have been spent on a more compatible finish.
