George III Statue in Monument Place

A bronze statue of George III on horseback, erected by public subscription, situated in Monument Place near TJ Hughes famous store. It was originally planned for the statue to be erected in Great George Square however insufficient funds were raised and the sculpture was finished many years later and placed here.
