The disused Lancaster Canal north of Tewitfield (SD5173) is culverted in six places by the M6 and associated road projects. Here the new road leading out of Holme needs to cross the canal on the level so it can then dip underneath the motorway. (A white lorry on the motorway is just visible on the right of the picture.)
