Looking north towards West End, Lightwater and Bagshot. Brookwood crossroads is a notorious traffic blackspot about 4 miles west of Woking. It lies at the crossing of the A322 Guildford to Bagshot road and the A324 Woking to Aldershot road. Various schemes have been put proposed to ease the congestion but there has been strong opposition to the idea of a bypass cutting through the countryside. Instead the traffic light system at the crossroads has been enhanced but the queues remain.
