Situated in Wroslyn Road OX29 8AJ, this convent was founded in 1950 and occupies a converted house. It is run by the Community of St Clare which is a community of women within the Anglican Church. However, its roots are found in the Franciscan family being a part of the Anglican Society of St Francis, and has close ties with the Roman Catholic Poor Clare communities. It tries to combine traditional religious life with a certain informality and simplicity of community living. Each day, there is a Eucharist in the chapel together with personal prayer, work, meals and recreation. Guests are accommodated in The Old Parsonage adjacent to the Convent.
