Despite being due for demolition in 2005, the centre still held the UK Snooker Championship in Decembers 2005 and 2006 – though the event will not be there in December 2007, so perhaps the plans are now going to be carried out. However, in the end, the building was not demolished but renovated and reopened in 2011: Image
