No.34052 'Lord Dowding' hauling a charter for the Crystal Palace Football Club supporters, for the last match of the season, at Southampton. Lord Dowding is actually Braunton in disguise, renamed to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Seen leaving West Croydon, from Pitlake Bridge, on a route not used by steam for many years. In the background, the tower at Saffron Square is part of a new housing development, some 44 storeys high.
