A narrow street connecting Kirkgate with Westgate. The Baptist Chapel is on the left, and the tree is on the site of former buildings. The Victorian offices on Westgate at the bottom of the hill are partly obscured by an ugly brick and concrete building, part of the Arndale Centre.
