Grade II listed Tregunter, Burnham-on-Sea

In May 2016, this mid 19th century building is the office of Holley & Steer solicitors at 1 Berrow Road, located near St Andrew's Church. Tregunter was Grade II listed in 1985. A St Andrew's Church history leaflet compiled by Burnham-on-Sea U3A states that Tregunter was built on the site formerly occupied by Roper's Cottage. The cottage's occupants at the time of the Monmouth Rebellion (1685) were Henry Roper and Robert Roper. For their part in the rebellion, one was hanged and the other was transported.
