At least this driver was giving a fairly wide berth to the walker. I am sure quite a few never even saw me especially those with mobile phones clamped to their ears! The walk between Cold Norton to Maldon was not exactly a pleasant experience. Strangely holding my map sticking out into the road seemed to significantly increase the distance between the cars and my thigh. Yet another use for a Landranger!
