The derelict sewage works beside Barrhead was transformed in 2013 into a flagship project for Grow Wild Scotland. It is now a community-friendly wild flower space. Although looking a bit bare in this photograph, in a few weeks time it will be full of colour. See [https://www.growwilduk.com/content/grow-wilds-scotland-flagship-water-works-barrhead] for more information on the project.
