Opened in 1856 as 'Crieff Junction' by the Scottish Central Railway, later part of the Caledonian Railway, on the line from Stirling to Perth. This station, as its original name suggests, was the junction for the line to Crieff from 1856 to 1964. View north east towards Auchterarder and Perth (curving right) and Crieff (curving left). When the line to Crieff was extant, the platform was to the left of the station and the footbridge continued over it to the main station building, far left. This building is now in private ownership, the footbridge has been shortened and the road built partially on the course of the closed Crieff line.
