The Priory, Abbotskerswell

Augustinian Priory, built 1861 as an addition to Abbotsleigh House, overlooking farmland. Originally it was set in 36 acres, but now the Priory has been deconsecrated, it is a village for retirees, with additional buildings, set in 5 acres of maintained gardens, woodland and meadow. There is a cemetery for the nuns who died while living here, but this remains the property of the Catholic church.
