A Cravens 2 car unit from Ipswich passes the sidings beside Gippeswyk Park on route to Lowestoft. The signal is a bit of a novelty, carrying arms for both directions on the same bracket. This section of the route was still controlled by semaphore signals at the time of the photograph. The train will leave the main Norwich line at East Suffolk Junction a few hundred yards further on.
