Some of the oldest remnants of housing in Bramley survive at No. 112 Lower Town Street, which is situated just outside the CA boundary. Here, the remains of a timber-framed aisled hall dating to c.1500 can be found. The timber-framing was then encased in stone in the 17th or 18th century, forming the grade II Listed building that we see today.
