Carhampton : Horse Engine House

Image: © Lewis Clarke Taken: 9 Apr 2016

This horse engine house was built in the late 18th or early 19th century. It would have housed a wheel that was turned by a horse. This was to provide a source of power/energy. This power could then be used in mining, manufacturing or in this case farming. In poor condition at time of survey (May 1984), but now looking like it could do with an update.
