Also known as Tan yr Allt or Tanyrallt, the spelling in the title is how my family has always referred to the Grade II Georgian house built in 1755. Originally the home of John Ellis, Archdeacon. It has changed hands over the years and is now owned by the University. It was owned by the Penrhyn estate and between 1902 and 1926 the house and grounds were rented to my Great Grandfather Edward Evans.
