Originally the Court House and Police Station A mid 19th century police station and police house, which is now a police youth expedition centre. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law. http://www.keystothepast.info/Pages/pgDetail.aspx?PRN=N20076 Sadly no more due to financial cut backs Northumbria Police had to sell the building about 20 years ago.
