Ordnance Survey benchmark, described on database at http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm73157. This is the old Methodist chapel (as opposed to the new which is 100 yards or so eastwards along the High Street). It was used as a place of worship by the Tolpuddle martyrs. In February 2015 the building and site were purchased by a newly formed Building Preservation Trust – The Tolpuddle Old Chapel Trust (TOCT)
