A view from the steep hillside road which passes Ty Coch Farm, with the camera looking towards the eastern fringes of Porthcawl – a little more than a mile away – over farmland off Zig-zag Lane and Tyn-y-caeau Lane. Beyond, Ogmore-by-Sea can be seen towards the left hand side of the image. It lies about three and a half miles from the camera. Beyond it can be seen some of the cliffs of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast ending at Nash Point, some nine miles from the camera. Behind this on the other side of the Bristol Channel, and approximately thirty miles from the spot where the picture was taken, some of the more northerly parts of the Quantock Hills in Somerset are visible.
