117-118, Western Road, Brighton

The shop on the corner, number 117, of Borough Street has been occupied by estate agents, Fox & Sons, since 1947 and it was they who expanded into number 118 when it became available after 1949. Both shops had been private residential dwellings up to the end of the 1880s with 117 becoming initially an office prior to return to residential use until converting into a shop during the First World War.
