Great Bircham War Memorial

The memorial is reputed to be the first Second World War Memorial to have been erected in the country. There are 18 names of men lost in WW1 and of three lost in WW2. According to the legend on the memorial which refers to 'The Birchams' it therefore includes men lost from the villages of Bircham Tofts and Bircham Newton.
