Photo taken in falling rain, from a minor road south of Peaslake. The wooded slopes of the Hurtwood rise in the distance. Driving along minor roads in this area a few days after storm Katie had gone through, I passed a number of trees that had been cleared away after falling across the roadway. In this shot, the fallen tree in the left foreground may be less recent, but the shattered beech tree (near the right hand margin, middle distance) is pretty clearly one of Katie's victims.
