The Mayor of Dorchester, Councillor Robin Potter, is about to cut the ribbon to officially open Image Poundbury has grown large enough over the last 20 years to warrant its own branch, the nearest before now being in Dorchester town centre. Also pictured are the postmaster and postmistress, in whose store, which opened six months ago, will house the post office. The official opening took place a couple of hours later than the planned 1pm opening time. See also: Image Image
