The newest branch of the Post Office network opened, a couple of hours later than planned, a little after 3pm this sunny Wednesday afternoon. Unusually, this is a brand new branch rather than being a replacement for some recently closed office, Poundbury never having previously had a post office nearer than Dorchester town centre. The village (or suburb, whatever you care to call it) has grown considerably over the last ten years.
