The area enclosed by the white fence is where Rackham's department store (closed in 1992) stood. It became a Netto supermarket (closed in 2009) then housed the City Archives for a while. Demolition started in late January 2016. http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2015/09/15/wolverhampton-rackhams-site-gets-new-lease-of-life/ http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2016/01/30/video-and-pictures-diggers-demolish-wolverhampton-netto/ http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2016/03/05/cellars-are-filled-in-as-demolition-continues-at-wolverhamptons-former-rackhams-store/ This image was obtained from the rooftop car park of the Wulfrun Centre.
