Gardens at Prospect Drive

These 1950s houses are built over the parterres of the former 19th century Prospect House which was the country home of Samuel Brookes, calico printer, banker and philanthropist: a man reputed to have been one of the wealthiest in Manchester, whose son became MP for Altrincham.
