Image: © Rossographer Taken: 6 Mar 2016

A vivid display of the Aurora Borealis was seen across the UK and Ireland on the night of 6th March 2016 (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35743466 for more). This was taken on Ballyholme Beach on the edge of Bangor at about 9:15pm - the lights have been amplified by the long exposure but they were visible to the naked eye.
