A for sale board, to the right of the public house’s name, indicates that the sale is being conducted by the chartered surveyors Porters http://www.porterssurveyors.com/ According to http://www.dover-kent.com/Pubs/Derby-Arms-Ramsgate.html the public house closed sometime during 2014 and that the exterior has a blue plaque, dedicated to writer and broadcaster Frank Muir, who grew up there. This can be seen above the front entrance.
