The unnamed passageway between the Forum 28 arts centre and Wilkinson's Hardware Store gained notoriety a few years ago when several local people contracted the Legionella virus from a neglected Forum 28 air-conditioning vent. Naturally, the name 'Legionnaire's Alley has stuck with some townspeople. It's a busy short cut between the main bus stops and the shops in Portland Walk.
