On the website for the villages of Strumpshaw, Buckenham and Hassingham, the Hamper People still describe their business as offering the best personal service, quality and value for money, stating that from their large, purpose-built facilities in Strumpshaw, the order processing and packing is handled by a loyal and dedicated team. Established in 1969, the workforce is said to comprise 22 permanent staff with many more being taken on temporarily at Christmas. However, now the buildings stand overgrown and empty and the Hamper People would seem to no longer be trading. Planning permission was apparently granted for building 13 houses on the site.
