Without local knowledge it's not easy to find out what has gone on here. As far as I can make out from various web pages, the original church looks to have been partially converted into a hall, leaving the east end roofless. The parish church now operates from a building behind this one. What happened to this building? Bombs? Fire? Update. Feb 2022. I have received the following by email:- "In 1993 it was subjected to an arson attack and was a major fire. For one reason or another, cost wise, they were unable to rebuild the roof. I was part of the first attendance from Forest Hill Fire Station. It's very sad that it could not be fully restored. Unfortunately I cannot remember the day or month." Thanks Leslie Brown.
