Thameslink electric unit 319 060, wearing the initial post privatisation Thameslink livery, arrives at Mill Hill Broadway station, working a Sutton to Luton via central London stopping service. The 319s were built specifically for Thameslink in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and were equipped for both main line electrification systems (25kV 50Hz ac north of London, and 750V dc south) to make through services possible. They are now in the process of being replaced on these duties as part of the massive expansion of capacity on Thameslink services.
