Anything but new, a fine house with early origins almost surrounded by orchards. New House was the home of the Tomkins family in the 18th century and has a claim to be the birthplace of the Hereford breed of cattle, along with Black Hall in Kings Pyon and Court Farm, Canon Pyon - all farmed by the Tomkins family.
