A road near Hale Cemetery which typifies the pleasant, tree-lined avenues of this wealthy area of North Cheshire. It began to be populated through an exodus of professional people from Manchester, in the late 19th century, seeking rural peace, when the railway extended southwards to Altrincham and then to Hale and beyond.
