When the HMS Ringtail monument was re-sited to the new memorial garden outside the Booths supermarket, it was joined by this life-sized sculpture of an RNAS airman, placed to look towards the memorial and out over the site of the former airfield. The sculpture, created by sculptor, Peter Hodgkinson, was commisssioned by the Booths family (http://www.burscoughpc.co.uk/news-and-archives/re-dedication-of-the-ringtail-memorial Burscough Parish Council News).
