Booths Burscough store is on the Ringtail Retail Park outside Burscough (on the original site of HMS Ringtail*). It opened in July 2015. It was designed to resemble a WWII hangar out of respect for the history of the Ringtail air station. *HMS Ringtail (RNAS Burscough https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNAS_Burscough_(HMS_Ringtail) ) was a busy military establishment commissioned in 1943. When the station closed for flying in 1946 the Royal Navy kept the aerodrome under the status of care and maintenance and used part of it for an engine holding and repair unit.
