The 'urban village' site lies south of the town centre and will be developed with housing, retail and industry. Shallow mine workings on this area have been treated by infilling with grout. The site was secured after the work with 8'x4' plywood panels which disappeared within days, even before they could get a coat of paint. All that remains are the posts.
