The former Youth Centre building Image in Trinity Avenue opened in 1885 as the Sarah Nicol Memorial Hospital. It was used as a Cottage Hospital until 1949 before being transformed into a Youth Centre. The Conwy County Council run Youth Centre closed several years ago and was put up for sale. The condition of the building deteriorated and was subjected to vandalism. Mostyn Estates purchased the property from the council in 2014 with the intention of replacing it with residential accommodation, designed to fit with surrounding properties. Whether it will be externally restored or demolished remains to be seen.
