The Market hall was built shortly before WW1 and the plaque on the right is the Roll of Honour to the local men who died in both wars: 50 in the first, 17 in the second. The stained glass windows depict, in the middle, Twm Carnabath, a local man reputed to be leader of the Rebecca rioters, and on either side figures representing technology, industry and craft.
